Brief Summary of Research Topics

My research focuses on how Art fits into society and disseminates political contents. It seeks to redefine the critical function of contemporary Art.

This research continues the reflection initiated by the “Ecole of Frankfurt” and the critical tradition: How Art could be a force of resistance against culture industry, mainstream ideology and capitalism? How Art could participate to class struggles by proposing and art form which is popular without being a mass art? How Art could be a vector of emancipation and define itself as a praxis? It tries to pursue this project in defining the conditions of possibility of a critical art in the contemporary context, which implies collapse of alternative models, capacity of absorption of capitalist system and institutional integration of Art…
